Natrona County School District #1
Every Learner A Champion
We are Natrona County's only public school district, serving the education needs of about 13,072 students in preschool through 12th grade in the city of Casper, as well as the surrounding towns of Alcova, Bar Nunn, Edgerton, Evansville, Mills, Midwest, and Powder River.

In NCSD, we are committed to providing optimum learning opportunities for every child. We are an open enrollment district, meaning parents can choose from any of our 35 schools for their children, regardless of where in the county they reside. We believe that families know their children best, and we understand no single learning environment will meet the needs of every child.

We know that today's students need far more than the traditional reading, writing, and arithmetic lessons. In NCSD, we strive to provide all students with optimum learning opportunities and the tools, skills, and knowledge they will need to be successful in the 21st Century.

As the largest employer in Natrona County, we also know we play a vital role in the community. We offer jobs to nearly 3,000 people in the county, providing competitive salaries and benefits, as well as continual learning opportunities for our staff and faculty. Every member of our team demonstrates a commitment to putting children first.

Together, NCSD and its community are committed to empowering every learner to grow, excel and be a successful contributor to the global and local community.

The Natrona County School District Board of Trustees holds two regular meetings each month on the second and fourth Monday starting at 7:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Special meetings at other locations are scheduled, as needed. All regular, special, and emergency meetings of the school board are open to the public, except executive sessions as defined by the Wyoming law. The public is welcome at each regular board meeting. Members of the public may address the board at the beginning of each regular meeting. Each speaker is allowed three minutes to speak.
