BACKGROUND:
On October 2, 2008, the revised Student Achievement Goal 2. Essential Life Skills, Reasonable Interpretation and Indicators were presented to the Board.
On October 23, 2008, the School Board approved Student Achievement Goal 2. Essential Life Skills, Reasonable Interpretations and Indicators.
KEY POINTS:
The presentation will provide an update on progress and future plans related to the performance measures in place to ensure successful attainment of the goal.
It reviews the previously approved reasonable interpretations and revised indicators with information on progress to date of the development of measures for Goal 2. Each sub-goal is presented in the narrative with associated measures and metrics.
It presents available student performance data including baseline as well as intermediate and aspiration expectations.
This report provides details on several projects related to Goal 2 and provides examples of sample questions on the new student survey.
It provides analysis of available data and the next steps for Goal 2.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the School Board accept the monitoring report on the current progress toward attaining Student Achievement Goal 2. Essential Life Skills.
