BACKGROUND:
On December 7, 2006, the School Board approved the Student Achievement Goal 1.3 reasonable interpretation and indicators. This presentation will provide an update on work done to date and performance measures in place to ensure successful attainment of the School Board goals.
KEY POINTS:
The presentation will describe the Grade 6 assessments in art and music, and the implementation of the program from pilot to full implementation. Included is an update on performance expectations for increased numbers of students receiving industry credentials.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the School Board accept the report as a reasonable interpretation of the board’s goals, including indicators to measure attainment of the goal, the timeline, and the aspirational expectation of Student Achievement Goal 1.3 – Explore, Understand, and Value the Fine and Practical Arts.
