Public hearings are scheduled on specific topics by the Board at various times during the year. All speakers are allowed three minutes. Only individuals who have signed up in advance will have an opportunity to speak at public hearings.

All public hearings begin at 6 p.m. at Jackson Middle School, 3020 Gallows Road, Falls Church.

To reserve a space on the speakers lists you can sign up online or call the School Board Office at 571-423-1075 during normal business hours [8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.]. The speakers list opens two to three weeks prior to the public hearing and closes at 4:30 p.m. on the work day prior to the first day of the public hearing date [if the public hearing is held on a Saturday the speakers list will close on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.].

Public Hearings Scheduled for 2009-2010:

2010

• Capital Improvement Program - January 5 and 6 (if needed) - Speakers list opens December 11.
• FY 2011 Proposed Budget - January 25, 26, and 27 - Speakers list opens January 8.
• FY 2011 Approved Budget - May 11 and 12 (if needed) - Speakers list opens April 30.
• FY 2011-2012 Proposed Program/Attendance Area Adjustments - May 24 - Speakers list opens April 30.
