At its November 5, 2009, regular meeting, the School Board took the following actions:

Student Achievement Goal 1.2. Communicate in At Least Two Languages

The Board voted to accept the monitoring report on the current progress toward attaining Student Achivement Goal 1.2. Communicate in At Lease Two Languages. The motion passed 8-0 with Mr. Center, Ms. Hone, Mrs. Kory, Mr. Moon, Mr. Raney, Mr. Storck, Mrs. Strauss, Mrs. Wilson voted "aye"; with Ms. Bradsher not present for the vote; with Mr. Gibson and Mrs. Smith absent; and with the Providence district seat vacant.

Exchange of Real Property

The Board voted to authorize the actions necessary to complete the exchange of real property with the Fairfax County Park Authority for the South County Middle School, approved by the School Board at its June 19, 2008, meeting. The motion passed 8-0 with Mr. Center, Ms. Hone, Mrs. Kory, Mr. Moon, Mr. Raney, Mr. Storck, Mrs. Strauss, Mrs. Wilson voted "aye"; with Ms. Bradsher not present for the vote; with Mr. Gibson and Mrs. Smith absent; and with the Providence district seat vacant.
