Policy Detail

I. PURPOSE

To establish the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) automated external defibrillator (AED) program. The purpose is to install AEDs in all schools and other FCPS facilities frequented by the public, subject to the availability of funding for purchase, maintenance, training, and oversight of such a program. Any FCPS facility that has an AED shall operate it in accordance with this policy.
