Key Points:
In preparation for the development of the FY 2011 Proposed Budget, a discussion of budget priorities will continue with a review of the updated budget criteria updated by the School Board on October 31, 2009. The straw man of potential budget reductions reflects the corresponding revised budget criteria and the prioritization will be discussed. In addition to the straw man, Dr. Dale will provide an overview of the preliminary impacts of an additional five percent reduction to support departments.
FCPS has continued to receive a significant amount of feedback from the community and from employees. Preliminary results from the employee budget survey will be presented. Online comments submitted by community members are being posted on the community dialogue budget site and are available at

Because five of the twelve community dialogue meetings have had more citizens wishing to participate than space available, FCPS and the County will be holding three additional community dialogue meetings in early December. Information on the dates, location, and registration is available at
