About Loudoun Water's Board of Directors: Loudoun Water exists to provide public water and sewer service to designated portions of Loudoun County, Virginia. Loudoun Water is self-sustaining and independent of local government; Loudoun Water does not receive tax dollars. Loudoun Water is funded exclusively by the fees and charges that it collects for providing water and sewer services. As a not-for-profit, community-owned utility, Loudoun Water is governed by an appointed Board of Directors which establishes rates for the services the utility provides. Our rates and fees are designed to cover the cost of operating and maintaining our customer's water and sewer systems. Loudoun Water's nine-member Board establishes policy, sets rates and governs how the utility operates. The Board generally meets every second Thursday of the month at 3:00 p.m. at Loudoun Water's Administration Building located at 44865 Loudoun Water Way, Ashburn, VA 20147. These meetings are open to the public. Each member of the Board is appointed at-large by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and serves a four-year term. Board member terms are staggered so that two members are appointed each year; every fourth year three members are appointed. The Board appoints a General Manager who is responsible for the daily management of the utility.
