Great Oaks is leveraging the Internet by creating a paperless system that will enhance communication among board members, staff, our affiliated schools and our publics. By making meeting agendas and supporting documents available on the Internet, we will be able to distribute information associated with a meeting more quickly and efficiently.
Electronic distribution will not only save time and resources, it will also provide more extensive stakeholder access. Through our web site, interested parties can view the agenda and the supporting documents before and after the meeting, as well as review actions taken by the board. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed later.
We will also use the same technology to publish the policies and procedures of the district on-line. This will save not only on the distribution cost, but ensure that everyone has access to the latest version.
The new BoardDocs initiative will enable board members to have more information before the meetings. Documents can be published on-line as they become available. Board members will no longer have to wait for their packets or the meeting to review important information. Members will also have access to a vast database of best practices from other districts.
