BOARD MEETINGS & STUDY SESSIONS The Board's official business meeting is usually held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. Residents are welcome to address the Board at this meeting. These meetings are usually televised on LMC-TV, channel 75 or 76 and Verizon channel 35 or 36.
Study Sessions are working sessions held on the first Tuesday of the month, also at 7:30 p.m. The Board discusses issues and hears from teachers, students and program, department and committee heads. The Board President will usually allow questions or comments after reports of Study Sessions on the topic of that Study Session.
Locations and dates for the meetings are listed in the district calendar.
The Board encourages and welcomes all members of the community to its meetings and appreciates your presence as evidence of your interest in providing an outstanding public education to all the children in our community.
PUBLIC COMMENTS Residents are welcome to address the Board at Meetings. If you wish to speak, sign up on the blue sheet outside the meeting room. When you are introduced, please step up to the microphone, state your name and address for the record, and direct your remarks to the president, not to the audience. You are asked to limit your remarks. (When many people wish to speak, a time limit may be imposed.) A Board meeting is never the place to discuss personal or personnel issues.
