Dr. Paul Rutherford, Summit Technology Academy engineering instructor, was recently selected to receive the University of Missouri-Kansas City's 2010 Alumni Achievement Award by the School of Education. The award goes to a UMKC graduate who has achieved tremendous professional accomplishments while also giving back to the community and the university.

The UMKC School of Education awards just one Alumni Achievement Award each year through a highly competitive selection process. Dr. Rutherford has taught engineering at Summit Technology Academy since 1999.
