Background Information
Mindy’s Dance Center has requested the use of Lee’s Summit West High School Performing Arts Center/Dressing Rooms, Choir, Band, and Lobby Area June 24, 25, and 26, 2010 for their dance recital. Mindy’s Dance Center is a commercial business, therefore needing Board of Education approval for this event. Mindy’s Dance Center is a Lee’s Summit business. A large number of Lee’s Summit residents will be participating in this recital. Building Rental, Custodial fees, and Light/Sound Technician fees will be approximately $4716.12 per Board Policy. A copy of the group’s Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the R-7 School District as additional insured has been requested.
Administrative Recommendation
The Administration recommends that the Board of Education approve the use of Lee’s Summit West High School for Mindy’s Dance Center dance recital on June 24, 25, and 26, 2010 at a cost of approximately $4716.12.
