SERVICES FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS

The Board of Education of Cecil County is committed to ensuring equity and excellence in education by providing each student with an instructional environment that nurtures potential and enhances academic success. The Board believes that every student in the Cecil County Public Schools K-12 who gives evidence of high performance capability in intellectual, creative, or artistic areas should have access to high quality gifted and talented educational services.

Therefore, services for gifted and talented students will be delivered along a continuum and may include classroom differentiation, cluster grouping, small group activities, independent study, specialized guidance counseling services, mentorships within or outside of school, and extra-curricular activities.
