Board of Education Meetings
The Calvert County Board of Education generally holds two meetings a month on the second and fourth Thursday. These meetings are held in the Board Room at the Brooks Administrative and Instructional Center, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland unless otherwise noted. The first monthly meeting will be held at 12:00 noon with a business meeting to follow at 2:00 p.m. Time is set aside during the business meeting (2:00 p.m.) for public comment and testimony—three minutes for individuals and five minutes for an organization. The second monthly meeting will be held at 10 a.m. and will be a work session. Tentative agendas are available on the Friday before a meeting date. Other special meetings and hearings may be scheduled as needed. Executive and Closed sessions are not open to the public as permitted by the Maryland Open Meetings Act, 10-508(a) and Section 10-503 of the State Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
