Board of Education
We appreciate your support of Emporia Public Schools, and we welcome your presence at meetings of the Emporia Board of Education. The district uses BoardDocs, an online board meeting management system that reduces paper waste and keeps the public better informed about school district issues.
BoardDocs provides online access of reports and recommendations that are placed on board of education meeting agendas. The Emporia Board of Education meets at 7:00 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at Mary Herbert Education Center, 1700 W. 7th Ave. The exceptions are November, December and March when meetings are held only on the second Wednesday.

Agendas for regular meetings generally will be posted by 12:00 a.m. on the Saturday before the meeting. Special meetings may be called to conduct business that cannot be deferred to the next regular meeting.

The board agenda is compiled by the superintendent in cooperation with the board president. The agenda is not considered to be final until the board adopts it at the beginning of each meeting. Therefore, items may be added to or removed from the agenda after it is published.
