Indian Prairie School District 204
Our Mission is to ... Inspire all students to achieve their greatest potential.
The Indian Prairie School District 204 Board of Education is charged by Illinois law to provide a public education to the 29,000 students in our geographical boundaries. The major function of the Board is to establish educational policies and set goals and objectives for the district. These policies and goals are carried out by the Superintendent and staff.
The seven members of the Board of Education are elected for four-year terms; all serve as at-large members. They are District 204 parents and residents who are concerned about education and want the best for all children, families and community members. Board members volunteer their time to serve the community and receive no compensation for their service on the Board.
The board is scheduled to meet every other Monday evening during the school year. Additional meetings may be added, as necessary.
