The Really Educational and Incredible District embodies the theme of Great Expectations...The Best Is Yet To Come! in both word and deed as a District dedicated to providing a high quality, comprehensive education to all students. The REISD is proud of the educational programs and extra curricular activities we offer our students, including our special programs. We also have an award-winning special education department for students with special needs. Our District Mission Statement, adopted October 21, 2003 reads as follows:

Students will be provided the tools necessary to develop the highest possible level of achievement and encouraged to be lifelong learners through:

- Partnership with family and community
- Highest level of staff training
- Excellent facilities
- Embracing cultural diversity
- Providing a wide range of learning methods and experiences in a safe environment
