Policy Detail

Preparing for specific personal, career, and college interests requires careful planning of the student’s course of study. The district encourages all students to challenge themselves by taking courses that are academically rigorous and that will best prepare them for post-high school endeavors. The grading system, grade point average system, and class rank at high schools shall be designed to encourage and promote a challenging course of study for all students. The system shall provide a fair and meaningful process for evaluating and reporting student progress that is understandable to students and their parents. The system shall be relevant for instructional purposes and support rigorous performance and achievement standards for all students.
