Policy Detail

New students entering from public schools and private schools accredited by the Colorado Department of Education shall be placed in grades and classes on the basis of their grade placement/credits in the school from which they are transferring.

The school administration, through academic achievement tests and other necessary evaluation measures, shall determine the appropriate grade level/credit status of students transferring from home schools or private schools that have not been accredited by the Colorado Department of Education. Such students must demonstrate proficiency in the District-adopted content standards at their appropriate placement level.
