RECOMMENDATION
: Adopt a Memorandum of Understanding between San Diego Unified School District and Administrators Association San Diego (AASD) regarding the one-time savings from the Delta Dental insurance to be paid as a one-time bonus to eligible management team members, in accordance with Section 3547.5 of the California Government Code and Section 1031 of the Bylaws of the Board of Education.

BACKGROUND:
On November 13, 2007, the Board of Education approved a change to the district’s dental plan for employees and their dependents. Effective January 1, 2008, the Delta Dental PPO Plan replaced the San Diego City Schools Dental Plan. The change in dental plan resulted in a one-time savings of $97,613 for AASD's managment team. San Diego Unified School District and Administrators Association San Diego (AASD) have reached an agreement to divide the one-time savings of $97,613 among the total number of eligible management team members (management, supervisors, and confidential employees) as of May 1, 2009.
