RECOMMENDATION: Resolutions in the matter of the elimination of classified services, effective September 18, 2009: Confidentials, Management, Office-Technical and Business Services Bargaining Unit, Pareducators Bargaining Unit, and Supervisors.

FISCAL IMPACT: Adoption of this resolution will result in the overall savings of $6.8 million dollars.

BACKGROUND: In order to maintain the balanced budget that was approved on June 23, 2009, the following positions are being recommended for elimination due to one of the following reasons:

Central Office Reorganization/Budget Reduction (CO/BR)
School Allocation/Budget Reduction (SA/BR)
School Closure (SC)
May 26, 2009 Special Education Board approved vacancy reductions (SPED)

These eliminations of classified services were included in the adoption of the 2009-10 district budget.
