Beams to be integrated into the premier conference for governance technology
ATLANTA (August 27, 2013) — Emerald Data Solutions™, Inc., developer of BoardDocs® paperless meeting solutions and the eGovernance pioneer, today announced that Suitable Technologies will participate in the eGovLIVE 2013 conference with several Beam remote presence devices. Attendees at the annual conference for the eGovernance community, held Sept. 4-6 in Park City, UT, will use the Beams to instantly interact with Emerald Data Solutions’ remote staff from the show floor.
At eGovLIVE, representatives from governing bodies across the country will gather for educational sessions packed with thought leadership, best practices and real-world applications of eGovernance.
“We see tremendous opportunity for the eGovernance community to embrace remote presence technology to maximize their effectiveness at the local and regional levels. Our collaboration with Emerald Data Solutions will enable these organizations to improve communications while reducing travel time and expenses,” said Scott Hassan, founder and CEO of Suitable Technologies. “We are excited for eGovLIVE attendees to interact with their remote colleagues using the Beams and to showcase the Beam’s powerful technology during the Workforce 2.0 session on Sept. 6.”
"Suitable Technologies is a leader in providing new ways for people to interact in a virtual environment. By utilizing beams students and team members can interact in a real intangible way that goes beyond simple video conferencing and screen sharing," said Ari Ioannides, found and President of Emerald Data Solutions. "This technology is something people really need to interact with to understand, and eGovLIVE is the perfect place to see Beams in action."
Suitable Technologies’ Beam was recently awarded “Best in Show” at InfoComm 2013 in the Best Robotic Telepresence / Remote Presence Solution category. Multinational companies like Intel and Google are utilizing Beams for true face-to-face collaboration in remote locations around the world, and the demand for personal use is growing. Celebrity fans include NBA All Star Shaquille O’Neal who invested in Beam during the “Pitch Shaq” campaign by Tout at SXSW; Eric Anderson, Co-Founder of asteroid mining company, Planetary Resources, used Beam to participate in a panel at the Bloomberg Next Big Thing summit; and motivational speaker Tony Robbins used Beam to remotely present at XPRIZE in San Diego.
