BoardDocs services are developed and marketed by Emerald Data Solutions, a Company that has been successfully addressing the needs of clients since 1989. Over the years, we have provided solutions for many leading organizations, including BellSouth, Turner Broadcasting and the Georgia Department of Education, among others. BoardDocs was launched nationally in 2002 and, in 2004 we decided to commit 100% of our resources to developing, implementing and supporting on-line governance solutions. To date, over 750 organizations have selected our technology to save money, reduce staff time, improve board effectiveness, increase transparency and help the environment.
Emerald Data Solutions is based in Atlanta, GA and has BoardDocs associates in Colorado, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Washington.

Emerald Data Solutions is 100% employee owned and has been providing technology solutions to public and private organizations since 1989. Our past clients have included the State of Georgia, BellSouth, Turner Broadcasting and hundreds of local governments. Currently, Emerald Data Solutions is exclusively dedicated to the development and delivery of BoardDocs eGovernance services.
Initially developed in 2000, BoardDocs provides low-maintenance, turn-key paperless governance solutions. Since its national introduction in 2002, more than 750 organizations have chosen the eGovernance pioneer for their paperless governance needs.
Our unique, state-of-the-art solutions save taxpayers money, reduce staff time, improve board effectiveness, increase transparency in governance and have a positive effect on the environment. BoardDocs has dramatically reduced the need for paper agenda packets in school districts, city councils and corporate boards across the country, eliminating tens of millions of pages that were being printed and saving organizations up to tens of thousands of dollars annually.
Our current staff includes former technology directors, former board clerks, a former database administrator for the DOE’s Yucca Mountain Facility, former Fortune 500 executive trainers, top developers and certified support analysts. We have trained thousands of board members and administrators, so we understand how governing bodies operate and how board meeting materials are collected and distributed.
